What does Courage mean?

Courage

Courage is the ability to act despite fear, fear and intimidation. It should be noted that Courage does not mean the absence of fear, but action in spite of it. The opposite of Courage is usually seen as cowardice.

What does the bible say about Courage?

The greatest Courage is revealed when our faith is in God and we feel His presence. Because even if an army rises against us, we know that our God is stronger and will give us the victory!

How can we overcome fear and have Courage? Can I find the source of encouragement in the Bible?

Have you ever been afraid? This is a feeling of self-protection that can arise in the face of an imminent threat, whether real or imagined. The Bible describes that after disobeying God and committing sin, man was afraid and hid from God: "I heard the sound of thee in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself." (Genesis 3:10). Although fear is a reality in this fallen world, God is the source of love, hope, forgiveness and salvation. He encourages us in every situation in our life. He says: "fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand" (Isaiah 41:10).
When Moses led the people of Israel to take possession of the land of Canaan, there was a great challenge, since the land was already inhabited and the Israelites were not prepared militarily. But God encouraged the leadership and all the people by saying: And the LORD commissioned Joshua the son of Nun and said, "Be strong and of good courage; for you shall bring the children of Israel into the land which I swore to give them: I will be with you." (Deuteronomy 31:23).
Therefore, our courage must be based on the power of God. When Paul faced the judgment of the Sanhedrin, already as a prisoner, God encouraged him. The Acts account describes this episode:
The following night the Lord stood by him and said, "Take courage, for as you have testified about me at Jerusalem, so you must bear witness also at Rome." (Acts 23:11).
Just as the Lord took Paul's side to encourage and encourage him, He also promises to be with us in every and every situation (Psalm 23:4; Matthew 28:20). Trust God, be strong and courageous, for He has a beautiful plan for you!
