What does the bible say about confusion?

When you are confused, ask God to guide you

The Bible says in Proverbs 2:1-8: My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you cry out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures; then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and preserving the way of his saints.

The Bible says that God is not a God of confusion, but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). This verse was written by the apostle Paul. The meaning of this phrase indicates that God does not cause disorder, nor is he pleased with it. In fact, confusion is contrary to the nature of God, a nature of peace, order and harmony.

All of this means that there is no room for confusion in God. Consequently, there should be no room for disorder among His people. We were chosen to reflect His glory and announce His works (2 Pedro 2:9).

So how can we talk about a God of peace and order in a disorderly way? Our God is not a God of confusion, and that is why He expects us to commit to maintaining order. Our worship should never be irrational and unintelligible. The use of the gifts He has entrusted to us should serve to build up the Church, not to cause strife and strife among believers. Therefore, God is a God of order and peace, and this serves as an exhortation for us to do all things in order and decency.

Be blessed in the name of Jesus!

Text Confusion in the Bible

Exodus 14:24-25

And in the morning watch the LORD in the pillar of fire and of cloud looked down upon the host of the Egyptians, and discomfited the host of the Egyptians, 25 clogging their chariot wheels so that they drove heavily; and the Egyptians said, "Let us flee from before Israel; for the LORD fights for them against the Egyptians."

Deuteronomy 28:28

The LORD will smite you with madness and blindness and confusion of mind.

1 Samuel 14:20

Then Saul and all the people who were with him rallied and went into the battle; and behold, every man's sword was against his fellow, and there was very great confusion.

Nehemiah 4:8

And they all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and to cause confusion in it.

Psalm 55:9

Destroy their plans, O Lord, confuse their tongues; for I see violence and strife in the city.

Isaiah 19:12-14

Where then are your wise men? Let them tell you and make known what the LORD of hosts has purposed against Egypt. The princes of Zo'an have become fools, and the princes of Memphis are deluded; those who are the cornerstones of her tribes have led Egypt astray. The LORD has mingled within her a spirit of confusion; and they have made Egypt stagger in all her doings as a drunken man staggers in his vomit.

Zechariah 14:12-13

And this shall be the plague with which the LORD will smite all the peoples that wage war against Jerusalem: their flesh shall rot while they are still on their feet, their eyes shall rot in their sockets, and their tongues shall rot in their mouths. And on that day a great panic from the LORD shall fall on them, so that each will lay hold on the hand of his fellow, and the hand of the one will be raised against the hand of the other.

Matthew 5:9, 44

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

John 16:13

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

Acts 15:1-2, 5, 10, 19-20

But some men came down from Judea and were teaching the brethren, "Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved." 2 And when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and debate with them, Paul and Barnabas and some of the others were appointed to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and the elders about this question.
But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees rose up, and said, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to charge them to keep the law of Moses."
Now therefore why do you make trial of God by putting a yoke upon the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear?
Therefore my judgment is that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles who turn to God, 20 but should write to them to abstain from the pollutions of idols and from unchastity and from what is strangled and from blood.

Acts 19:32

Now some cried one thing, some another; for the assembly was in confusion, and most of them did not know why they had come together.

1 Corinthians 14:33, 40

For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints.
But all things should be done decently and in order.

2 Corinthianss 12:20

For I fear that perhaps I may come and find you not what I wish, and that you may find me not what you wish; that perhaps there may be quarreling, jealousy, anger, selfishness, slander, gossip, conceit, and disorder.

Ephesians 4:14

So that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the cunning of men, by their craftiness in deceitful wiles.

James 3:16

For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.

1 John 4:1

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are of God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
