The Bible Book Amos - Bible study by verse and Encouragement

The Book of Amos is a powerful prophetic message from an 8th-century BC shepherd, warning the wealthy Northern Kingdom of Israel about impending judgment for their hypocrisy, social injustice, and neglect of the poor. It balances severe warnings of destruction with an ultimate promise of future restoration.

Amos 3:7

Amos 3:7

God's judgments should never be a complete surprise, because we already know his standards and laws.

His word (both the scriptures and the Lord Jesus Christ incarnate) will announce any judgment in advance, to give people ample opportunity to repent of their sins.

If my people, who are called by my name, humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land 2 Chronicles 7:14.

  1. Understand that God never does anything unless He has already announced it before through his prophets.
  2. Develop your ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying (through the Bible) to the churches and people.
  3. Know that God judges everyone equally by the standards of the Bible and the life of Jesus Christ.

2 Chronicles 7:14, expresses the divine conditions for receiving his blessing: HUMBLE, PRAY, DEVOTION AND REPENTANCE.

Covid-19 is a serious warning and call for repentance and call for to turn to God.
